– ½ kg of asparagus
– Olive oil
– Salt and pepper
We clean the asparagus and scald them in hot water for about 2-3 minutes, with a pinch of salt.
Drain and wrap them in sliced serrano ham. Depending on the size, wrap the ham slices in two or three asparagus or even one if it’s very large.
On a grill, put the wrapped asparagus, with a dash of olive oil, salt and pepper. And we give a few laps until the ham starts to drop fat. Remove and serve.
Alternatively, we can put the studs directly on the grill, until they are a bit soft, instead of scalding.
The asparagus is grown naturally and reaches its best between mid-March and April.
It is an ideal food to include in low calorie diets because they are high in nutrients and water.
